It is my goal to make sure that your special day reflects who you are, and is one you can look back on with fondness. From the ultra-traditional to the super creative, I want to help you make your wedding special. Below are a list of some frequently asked questions that may help you better understand the services I can provide.
Are you willing to perform a ceremony at a non-religious site? (cabin, park, etc…)
Yes. In fact, that is where many weddings are held! East Tennessee is one of the most beautiful places to be married. Whether you love the scenic views & being surrounded by nature, or doing something fun & exciting - pick a location that means something to you.
What is your attire for the ceremony?
Normally, I wear a black suit & tie. If would like a different look or feel for your ceremony, arrangements can be made to better suit the occasion.
Are you flexible in the wording used throughout the ceremony, including the vows?
Absolutely! The ceremony should reflect the bride and groom and they have freedom to customize the ceremony.
Do you allow the couple to write their own vows, if desired?
I encourage it. The vows are one of the few ceremony elements where the couple’s words and voices can be heard.
Do you have a list of scripture / readings pre-selected, from which the couple must choose?
No. I can provide suggested scripture / readings that are appropriate. However, I encourage a couple to change any elements of the ceremony that will better fit their ceremony.
How long are your ceremonies?
A typical ceremony is fifteen to twenty minutes depending on what elements are chosen.
Do you require that premarital counseling be done?
No, but I do offer & encourage it for those couples who would like the opportunity to strengthen their relationship. My goal is for your wedding to go beyond the ceremony & be just the beginning of a lifetime together. (TIP: A $60 county fee can be waived for completing a pre-marital counseling course, and completing the proper form).
Are you willing to perform pre-ceremony rehearsals?
Yes. While not always necessary & completely optional, I will be happy to take any additional measures to help ensure your ceremony is just as you wish.
Do you supply a sound system?
No. However, I have relationships with local DJs & providers that would be happy to help you.
What areas do you serve?
As a Pastor based in Sevier County, I primarily serve Sevierville, Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg & surrounding areas. Although, I have preformed several ceremonies out of state.
Whether small & intimate, traditional & inclusive, or in a fun & creative setting, I will travel to the place of your choosing. It's my honor to serve you during this special ceremony.
There is nothing quite as beautiful as a couple staying committed to one another. Together we can celebrate your continued love for one another, and celebrate the years ahead.
While not always necessary and completely optional, we can work together to make sure your wedding is exactly the way you want it to be.
More than just a ceremony, my goal is for your wedding to be the beginning of a lifetime together.
